welcome to our new site

We'd Love you to get to know us

In 1791, Liverpudlian poet, writer and abolitionist Edward Rushton recognised a need within Liverpool. He started supporting people to meet that need. The work he founded has come to be known as the Royal School for the Blind Charity.

Over the past two hundred plus years the Charity has been a prominent part of Liverpool’s famous education system. The Charity continues to do all it can to equip and educate young people to fulfil their potential.

In 2016, Rushton Futures was formed as a new venture for the Royal School for the Blind Charity recognising a need within Liverpool supporting young adults 19+. Maintaining a quality approach moving into working with young adults and combining lifelong learning with adult social care.

OUR AIM IS TO MAKE AN IMPACT IN THE LIVES OF THE PEOPLE WE'RE SUPPORTING
